Who we are and what this covers
CATV has no accounts of its own and does not store your content: it is an app for watching the content of the Emby server you enter when you sign in. This policy explains what data the app handles and why.
It applies to CATV for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, Android, Android TV, Fire TV, Windows, Roku, Samsung Smart TV and LG Smart TV. The controller is CATV Latam (contact details at the end).
The Emby server is run by you or by the person who gave you access. Whatever that server stores is governed by the rules of whoever runs it, not by this policy.
Information the app handles
All information travels only between your device and your Emby server; we do not receive it.

What CATV does not do
- It does not create accounts or ask for personal data such as your name, email or phone (on Roku you can use your Roku account email to fill in the username, only if you choose to).
- It does not show advertising.
- It does not use its own analytics or tracking tools.
- It does not track you across apps or websites, and it does not use the advertising identifier.
- It does not sell or share your data with anyone.
- It does not offer in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Third-party services
The only third-party service included in the app is Google Cast, to send video to a Chromecast.
- Google Cast (iPhone, iPad and Android): when you look for or use a Chromecast, Google’s SDK may collect a device identifier, diagnostic data and usage data. Google does not link them to your identity or use them to track you. They are governed by Google’s privacy policy.
- Your Emby server: it receives what is described above because it is the one providing the content. It is run by you or by whoever gave you access.
Device permissions
CATV only asks for a permission when you use the feature that needs it, and the app keeps working if you decline.

Retention, deletion and security
You can delete everything the app stores on your device by signing out or uninstalling it.
- Signing out deletes the token, the session and what the widgets show. The server address and your username are kept for your next sign-in, never the password.
- Uninstalling the app deletes everything it stored on the device.
- What is on your Emby server (progress, favorites, picture) is deleted by whoever runs that server.
- Security: the token is kept in the system’s secure storage. With an HTTPS server, the connection is encrypted and the app checks its certificate.
Children, changes and contact
- Children: CATV is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them. The content is decided by the Emby server and its administrator, who can apply parental controls.
- Changes: if this policy changes, the new version will be published here with its new date.
